Aurora is a newly converted church in
the picturesque village of Walls, approximately forty minutes
drive from Lerwick. A great location to explore the rest of Shetland and
ideally placed in the centre of the beautiful west side. It can sleep up to eight people in four
bedrooms.
There is a spectacular open plan
living/dining/kitchen area featuring church windows, glass and oak staircase
and is open full height to the roof beams. There is one double and one twin ensuite room plus a further two double bedrooms, one
featuring balcony windows with fabulous views over the bay and marina and out
to the islands of Linga and Vaila.
There are a further two bathrooms. This makes it ideal for large families or
groups. There is a balcony area on the upper floor. A cot can be provided on
request. Separate utility room fully equipped with laundry facilities. The
property is fully centrally heated and finished to a high standard.Parking
for several vehicles.
Local amenities in walking distance include shop, swimming pool with sauna, playpark, multicourt and beaches.
Stunning views, walks and wildlife.
The layout of rooms in Aurora is as
follows:
Ground Floor
On entry you come into a large hall
with space for coats and a pew for putting on shoes and boots.
The main area is open plan, with a
sitting area with Sky TV and DVD player, a dining area with large table (seats
eight) and a kitchen area which has an oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle,
toaster and fridge/freezer. The main area is partly double height with feature
church windows and an oak and glass stairs up to the first floor and an
overlooking balcony.
Also on the ground floor is the
master bedroom, with king size bed and an en suite shower room.
There is a large bathroom off the
main entrance hall.
At the far end of the open area there
is a utility room which has a sink, washing machine and tumble drier.
First Floor
At the top of the stairs there is a
quiet sitting area with two armchairs on the balcony overlooking the ground
floor.
Moving through the corridor there are
three further bedrooms:
Bedroom 2 – with
double bed and large picture velux windows with
wonderful sea views.
Bedroom 3 – the bed here can be made
into a super-king size or two singles.
Bedroom 4 – this is a twin room with
an en suite shower room. One of the beds can be removed if required to make it
a single.
And finally there is a bathroom on
first floor with “his and her” sinks.
Outside there is a large parking
area, and round the back there is a clothes line if required.
